Toadie the bus: and the Last of the Lino
We have had very little to do with the internet for over a week now. The earthquake repairs to the house have taken over our living room which means they have to disconnect the modem incase of and damage to it. So, last weeks blogs will happen this week.
Sorry.
This week (last week) I pulled up most of the lino (linoleum).

There is still the bit around the drivers seat.

There is a piece of tin at the bottom of the walls that curves inward on to the floor that has to go or I wont be able to have any furniture flush against the wall.

I pulled up one section of it and found the exo-skeleton of a weta (native ugly bug), which I think is cool and am going to keep!

Not sure what I’m going to do with it yet, maybe suspend it in resin…..?
Toadie the Bus: Emptied.
We have had 2 storms and lots of rain lately. Aswell as 2 sharp aftershocks to remind us that things can change rapidly, and without warning.
But, today is beautiful!
Toadie has been emptied of the things we put in there for storage,

And the old handrail removed.

And alot of the old broken linoleum has been pulled up.

Bry has been sick this year more than any I have known. On top of that we have had some horrendous weather and it’s been colder than normal. All that together with our doubts on insulation have made our garage project non-existent.
Luckily, we have Toadie!
All though he’s not yet a housebus, he is what we will be living in in a couple of weeks when the builders come in and repair the earthquake damage to the house.
I’m off to measure things and work out where things will go in Toadie.
The video was just cute so thought I’d share.
=).
Lot’s of bad weather lately. I’ve been whistfully looking at completed housebusses on the net….
